The world is experiencing an explosion in the growth of small, entrepreneurial businesses. Small to Medium sized businesses dominate the Canadian landscape. This program will focus on the material needed to manage a small business and expand that business in a global market. Practical, job-related business studies from the field of accounting, computer applications, marketing, customer service, and operations will provide a foundation in small business management. Case studies are used to train students to think analytically and to apply their knowledge to solve problems and make decisions confidently.
A student must obtain an overall average of at least 70% in order to graduate and receive a diploma. A student must achieve a grade of 70% in all technical modules identified by this symbol @ on the following pages, but may achieve a grade of less than 70% and no module mark is below 50%. A student may be allowed to retake a module in which the mark received was 70% (50% for modules not bearing the symbol), or to raise the overall average to 70%. A student must complete the hours of the Student Success Strategies and Career & Employment Strategies modules for the program as indicated on this outline.

- 19 Years Old
- Out of High School for 1 year
- Passing grade on entrance examination.
Depending on personal inclination, graduates of this program may explore any number of career options. These may include owning and/or operating a small business, joining a family-run operation, or starting in an entry-level position with a commercial or service based business.
